The hosting server for our DEV flows has gone kaput. Unfortunately I didn’t have a backup schedule in place for them. I think the folder structure of the server is intact, it’s just that it’s not booting.
So I should be able to get at the Novacura folder on the server.
If I install Novacura Flow Server Manager on a new server and copy the folders FlowServerObjects and WorkFlows from the Novacura directory on the kaput server drive to the new server will the flows be restored?
Wil I be able to view and edit them as normal from FlowStudio if I connect to that server?
I posted a similar question about his before:
Good I think those folders togheter with the db could have worked, but there are dependencies so if possible I like the idea of backing the hole files and dqllite-db folders up.
Glad the panic is over… now setup a new Task Scheduler that runs and backups your flow server to a different hard drive using this script from same post:
I only back two folders from C:\Novacura Flow\Data\Novacura Flow\Data; FlowServerObjects and Workflows
I don’t back up the entire Data folder
I need to do a restore at some stage to test if it actually works.
