Flow Server Requirement

in the (flow help guides said :Recommendation: 4 to 8 GB. (Up to 16 GB if Web Client and Server are installed on the same machine.)) is not mention about the bigger environment when we have more than 800 users ?
and also is not mention about the server if it is physics or virtual machine ?

what is the Requirement for the flow server if i have

1-Windows Server 2022.
2- 800 users.
3-virtual machine.
3-the WebClient and the FlowServer and the Portal in the same machine.

Ram ?
Harddisk?
Proces or cores?

Hi,
Hard to say for sure without knowing in detail what all users will do how often, and how well it needs to cover peak loads (think of it as morning traffic).
The key I think is scalability, and try to hit as close to the mark as possible and then give yourself the option to scale up or down.

But, a hard disk is not so likely to be an issue if the users will not be working a lot with large files.
Processors are fast these days, and if not an excessive amount of flow script will be used you will probably be fine with a state-of-the-art setup processor-wise. A hardware vendor will probably know what is good for a fairly well-sized server (800 users).
Ram is where I would spend a little bit more. 128–256GB perhaps.

I am not a hardware guy really so take that with a grain of salt, and prepare to be able to scale up or down.

  1. What kind of apps will users be using?
  2. Will there be scheduled workflows?
  3. Will there be lot’s of uploads (pictures, etc)?

Because you have a VM, it is easy to add or remove resources.

My personal base recommendation is:

  • 16GB RAM
  • 8 core (or 4 core/8 thread) CPU >2.4GHz
  • 256GB hard drive on SSD storage

1- the customer use :
1-HR app
2-Effort app custom made
3-Integrations app custom made with custom connector
4-Logistics app
5-Maintenance app
6-Documents management app custom made
and more …

2- Will there be scheduled workflows? Yes

  1. Will there be lot’s of uploads (pictures, etc) Yes

From your answers, I would have you consider my recommendations.
