Hi!

I want to select a work order from a selected row in a portal table and then be able to open that work order via a link to IFS9. Has anyone done something similar?

Best regards

Viktor

Hi,

I can only comment on the Flow part, haven’t launched a specific WO in IFS EE via link myself. But if you are able to open a specific Work Order in IFS 9 EE via an URL, then there’s no problem. Within the datasource Flow you can generate the URLs and put them in a column in your work order table. Then change the column type to “Link”.

Maybe you have a specific requirement to open IFS to manage the Work Order. But more commonly you would manage the WO from the Portal or launch a user workflow via a button to execute the WO actions required. Which in most cases are much more efficient and streamlined for the user.

Anyhow, a quick search on creating a IFS EE URL led me to this post in the IFS community: [Capability to open IFS Applications Software via URL | IFS Community](https://community.ifs.com/getting-started-with-ifs-132/capability-to-open-ifs-applications-software-via-url-47297)

Thanks for the quick answer. I’ll look into it.

Hello again!

I was wondering if there is a feature to present links better. I don’t want to see the entire URL but rather a short text like “Show WO” or something similar. I checked the Help section and found this:

“Link: will display the content as a clickable link. **Check the box Pretty link to show the link not as the URL value but as either a text or a column value**.” This sounds exactly like what I want. However, I can’t see the option?

Is there another way to display it as a hyperlink instead? I’ve tried HTML but haven’t been able to get it to work.
