# Portal 2: disable changing the sort order in a table

Is there a way to disable disable changing the sort order in a table?

Hello,

(late reply but…holiday season was upon us 🙂 )

yes, what you need to do is use Machine Workflow with “Datasource with Pagination and Filtering” as Input Variable Schema as datasource for your table.

Then you need to also use Table Operations Connector (should be free)

And then when you get the selected table through the connector you can just omit the sorting before you assign it as output

Could you also please elaborate a bit on why you want to disable it? What’s the use case? I wonder if it should be a feature
