# Auto Forward after barcode entered

Hi there,

I’m using version 6.15 of Flow Classic and would like a screen where we enter/scan a barcode to automatically proceed to the next one:

I thought the Auto Forward might do this but it doesn’t seem to.

Is there a way to do this?

We had a similar requirement for a RFID reader for flow 6.14, and we found that the RFID reader could be configured to do an Auto Enter after each scan. Since we only have one button going out, and it’s set as Default, the scan would enter the value and do an Enter action that moved the flow to the next step.

Maybe check if something similar would be possible with your barcode scanner?

Hi,

(its been a while but…if memory serves)

in addition to enabling Auto Forward in the user step, try also setting the “Default” checkbox on the “Proceed” arrow

Yeah the logic here is that once you have filled all required inputs and set a default out step the client will automatically use that step/arrow to proceed. If there is no default set, even if there is only one out it will not proceed automatically and you have to hit the button.
